The Co Labs is a sneaker design convention that takes place in Austin Texas. This event brings both up & coming brands & designers, with established brands with large capital & opportunities. This is a space to learn, design, create, facilitate & network with each other. In this 2 day event, there are panels with world famous designers & influencers, company booths where aspiring designers can co mingle & collab with established designers & a sneaker trade floor, where anyone can trade rare sneakers safely & securely. At the end of this event there will be a draw to win a limited run pair of Air Jordan 1’s, one of the most coveted pairs of sneakers in the market.
The bold, sporty san serif typeface Gibson is contrasted with the elegant serif typeface Orpheus pro. This decision was made to further the concept of two entities coming together & collabing to create something better. The logotype was left simple & minimalistic in order to avoid clashing with all the other brands at the event, while still remaining bold & destigusiable. The brand mark of the zig zag pattern is an abstract representation of both a stitching pattern & a herringbone pattern. The stitch pattern to abstractly illustrate the branding coming together, & the herringbone as a callback to sneakers roots in basketball.
